Abstract

Syed Ahmed Shaheed's Movement of Mujahideen (Tehreek-e-Mujahideen) left immense impression on the outlook of political, social and literary landscape of the sub-continent. It also influences the poetry of Urdu. The poets who took part in the movement wrote many poems to support the movement and their poems are reckoned to be a crucial phase of Urdu "milli" poetry. The "milli" poetry of Urdu mainly revolves around highlighting the qualities and character of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). The "milli" poetry is also known as "Na‘at" poetry and that has a significant value in Urdu literature. This paper highlights the couplets said in the excellenceــــــــــــ of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) created by the poets who took part in the Movement of Mujahideen.
