Abstract

In March 1928 a political party named Ikhwanul Muslimoon was established in Egypt after the first world war. At that time the nation was facing challenges of socialism and capitalism in the form of hatred to the religion. Ikhwanul muslimoon got popularity in the surrounding of Egypt in a very short time due to their Islamic ideology and educational services. This article highlights some Islamic and educational activities of Ikhwanul Muslimoon in Egypt. This study concludes that the Ikhwan's rendered academic services to retain the religious identity of the Egyptian society.
