Abstract

This is the review of the research paper "WOMEN, WEST AND ISLAM" (AURAT MAGHRIB aur ISLAM in URDU) by Mr. Sarwat Jamal Asmaii. It is published in research journal "WEST AND ISLAM" (URDU) Vol.15, issue; 1 2012. IPS, Islamabad.
Speed of spread of Islam in West is very surprising. Conversion of western women is more than men. Anti - Islam propaganda has emerged in gigantic proportions after 9/11. It is quite surprising why western women are reverting to Islam when Islam phobia is so rife in their part of the world. What are the merits of Islam that are attracting them? What are the problems they are facing in the Western culture? What is the real status of women in Islam? And are the rules and regulations in the Muslim countries regarding women are Islamic injunctions or traditions that have been attired in religion?
