Abstract

Some of Contemporary Muslim critics of Western thoughts and civilization reveal that Western culture, notions and ideas are almost all mendacity and falsehood. So their attitude towards Western thoughts and culture is nearly overall rejection. They try to disprove almost all the Western concepts. The present paper studies the criticism of these Muslim critics of Western thought and culture. It concludes that all the Western notions are not liable to refute. West is not a norm of untruth (Batil).Truth (Haq) is not only the heritage of the East. Truth doesn't turn into falsehood by mere adoption of the West and falsehood doesn't turn into truth by only acceptance of the East. Muslims should take the western notions critically and should accept of those compatible with Islamic concepts and reject contradicting to it.
